The holidays are the perfect time to catch them when they aren’t busy, and trap them down a rabbit hole (we have all been in those ourselves). Plus, you are probably catching them in a good and relaxed mood. The holidays have a certain feeling to them, and you can capitalize on emotion and use it to associate those feelings with your brand.

Try their “Content Marketing” tab to get an idea on how to improve your content. Or find out what your competitors were doing over the holidays last year and how it worked out for them.
Coschedule: Plan Your Holiday Calendar
I always loved my tried and true Google Spreadsheets for my editorial calendar, and I was resistant to using anything else. But then I found Coschedule, and it pretty much changed my life. You use an actual calendar on your WP dashboard to plan, assign, create and schedule or publish content. Plus, it is connected to your social profiles for automatic updating, and you can republish there as needed in different day slots.
When planning your holiday content, I would highly recommend Coschedule as a much simpler way to do it. Especially if you run a team, or have guest posters or guest editors who may have to step in if there is a problem. They can just look at the calendar and get a look at how things are planned, without you holding their hand.
Headline Analyzer: Analyze Your Festive Headlines
What is the point of posting holiday content if no one is going to see it? You will be able to analyze your headlines to find out what is and isn’t working, then get recommendations for a better title. The better your headline, the more attention it will get.
Websites like Upworthy, which produce some of the most viral content on the web credit a great deal of their success to awesome headlines that attract attention. So you can see the benefits you may experience.
Holiday Revenue Calculator: Estimate Your Revenue
Sometimes all you need is an audit of your past efforts, especially if you are reliant on multiple streams for promotion (ads, clickbait, emails, social, etc). I really love this tool because it takes all of your information from the year before, then it calculates how much you could potentially make this year if you made some positive changes to your campaigns.
You have to be honest in your answers, because it bases everything on what data you give. So if you said you did ok in your content marketing campaign, for example, and the truth is you did poorly, you won’t get an accurate result. Granted, this makes it fairly objective. But it is still useful, and can provide you with ideas you may have not had for improving your profitability.

The holidays provide an awesome time to start making videos. It is set to a theme that is instantly relatable, with imagery that those viewing can recognize and appreciate within those tiny few seconds. Facebook Custom Audiences: Target Your Readers
Fashion retailer All Saints achieved a 12x increase in conversion value from its Custom Audience campaign.
Facebook has regularly updated and revamped their existing features to help provide a new ways for users to take advantage of them. One of their more exciting changes was introducing Custom Audiences. It allows advertising to better narrow their marketing focus on the platform, and retarget them from your site, through your Facebook page, and back to your site again.
It is pretty simple: create a pixel, create an audience, create an ad, add lookalikes. That’s all it takes! Which is fantastic around the holidays when people are going to be bouncing around your site, and more likely to go from the social page, to your site, and back and forth again. Plus a time to catch new audiences with your content.

Hundreds of live videos later I advertise my flag ship eBook via linking up and also by showing off the paperback version of the eBook.

3: Print a Paperback
Print a paperback aka hard copy version of your eBook. Increase sales by walking around with a branding tool for your eBook.
I promote my eBook via every live broadcast I record with a hard copy shout out. I begin most videos showing off the paperback version of my flag ship eBook. I also end all videos with a similar shout out.
Give folks something to sink their teeth into. Increase hard copy sales too.
4: Design a T-shirt
Design a T-shirt showing off your eBook cover.
I designed a Blogging From Paradise T-shirt showing off my eBooks on Amazon.
More than 1 person bought an eBook or more after seeing these reads on my T-shirt.
5: Give it Away for Free (Limited Time Offer)
Run a free giveaway to:
- increase eBook exposure
- boost eBook testimonials
- increase brand awareness
- boost eBook sales
Giving away your eBook for free – for a 2-5 day period – helps more folks see the eBook. Best selling authors often give away ample copies of their books to create a buzz around the release. Follow their lead. Create a buzz via a limited time free giveaway.
6: Capture and Share Endorsements
Capture and share eBook endorsements via:
- blog posts
- social media mentions
I spread the love anytime someone endorses my eBook on social media, influencing more folks to buy the eBook.
Humans tend to be pack creatures. Some folks buy your eBook based on the value you share but other folks buy in based on a trusted buddy endorsement.
Share testimonials. Influence folks to buy the read based on posting eBook endorsements to social media and on your blog.

Are you thinking of running for office? Are you tired of the way things are being done? Do you see changes that need to be made?
Yes! But how do you create and run an election campaign? Ambition and ideology aren’t enough to carry you through an election.
One of the best ways to accomplish this, is to get active with a blog of your own. As seen when looking at any of the top political blogs on the internet today, there is massive interest and attraction for both sides of the parties in this space. Not only is a blog an excellent way to put your voice and agenda out there, it’s also one of the easiest and most cost effective steps you can take in the process.
So read on for the 10 tips you need on how to win an election!
1. Create a Slogan That Reflects Your Mission
Your campaign slogan should reflect not only yourself as an individual but your mission, your promises, your goals.
Ask yourself some of these questions:
- What would my community look like if I were in this office?
- What are my voters in need of?
- What are my voters’ wants?
- What kind of world do I want to live in?

Young voters are a goldmine of opportunity. In the last presidential election, only 46% of millennials voted even though the youngest millennials have reached voting age.
Social media is a perfect way to engage with your potential millennial voters because the average person between the ages of 18-35 spends over 5 hours a day on some social media platform.
If you can engage with this voting demographic on the channels of social media that they frequent (think Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Youtube, etc.) then you’ll be able to tap into a huge source of support.
3. Know Your Vote Goals
One of the first things you need to understand is how many votes you need to become elected to your prospective office.
As reported by many top conservative blogs, knowing your vote goal will help you create a plan on how to obtain said votes. It will also help you to remain realistic about your campaign goals.
Knowing this type of information and target audience beforehand is key to winning an election and putting your funds and donations to the best use.
4. Create Your Own Campaign Plan
Any successful politician will tell you that the key to a winning campaign is a well-formulated plan.
Your campaign plan should include your major strategies in detail.
It doesn’t need to be a novel, but it should include all of the following and anything else you find helpful:
- Vote Goal

- Communications and Advertising

- Campaign Opportunities (speeches or debates if applicable)

The election campaign is going to take a major toll on you, no doubt. But make sure that you consider the toll it will take on family members and close friends.
They’ll likely help with campaign efforts. They may be under increased scrutiny. They may be targeted by bullies and opposing parties and constituents.
Make sure that before entering the race, you consider what your loved ones will sacrifice and experience as a result.
Tell them why you feel passionate about running for your office. And ask them if they are willing to go through this process with you.

6. Curate Your Team
As you prepare to run for office, consider these essential roles that need to be filled and who could fill them. Keep in mind, people may need to fill them in voluntary capacities instead of paid.
- Campaign Manager: The campaign manager should be responsible for overseeing every aspect of the campaign. Don’t be tempted to do this yourself. The candidate should be spending time meeting people, not managing the campaign.
- Volunteering Coordinator: This person seeks out and coordinates the efforts of volunteers. This can include canvassing, manning events, etc.
- Grassroots Coordinator: The grassroots coordinator is primarily responsible for voter initiatives on a grassroots level to encourage people to vote.
- Fundraising Supervisor: This position is the one to supervise all fundraising efforts. They are also responsible for making sure that fundraising efforts remain within election regulations.
- Financial Director: While they work alongside the fundraising supervisor, the financial director is a different position. They are primarily responsible for obtaining major donor contributions.
Again, when it comes to breaking up your team and creating a powerhouse around your agenda and political campaign, a blog is perfect for this. Such tasks include content writing, site design, social media, HR and outreach, PR and much more.
7. Start Your Fundraising Efforts Now!
It is never too early to begin your fundraising efforts! Take some time to make an educated estimate of how much this campaign will cost. Then begin your fundraising.
Not sure where to start? Begin with friends and family who know you best and trust your judgment. Take the time to explain why you’re running for office and what you hope to accomplish. Ask for their financial help to make this possible.

- What are your voters’ needs?

- What are your voters passionate about?

- What do your voters fear?
9. Never Replace One-on-One Engagement
The hardest campaign strategy is also one of the most effective. One-on-one engagements through canvassing, meet and greet events, and phone calls are irreplaceable.
Nothing will leave a stronger impression on your voters than a personal interaction that shows your care and concern for them.

Are You Overlooking New and Trusted Traffic Sources?
I watched a video from my friend Mick Meaney at Profit Copilot this morning.
He shared a blog traffic source he’s worked for 15 years. A traffic source yielding 150 million visitors monthly. That’s trusted guys.

Mick breaks down a traffic source I had forgotten about. I did visit the site a few times as a newbie blogger 10 years ago but had not given this source a thought over the past decade.
Sometimes you – like me – focus exclusively on more popular, hotter, sexier traffic channels for your blog like Twitter, Facebook and Google and lull yourself into a blog traffic comfort zone, going through the same motions daily, seeing some success but completely ignoring new (to you), trusted traffic sources for your blog.
I find it easy to close my mind to new sites sometimes. Being online for a decade sometimes jades you to new ideas or new networks to join and work generously.
Established traffic sources you forgot, ignored or never heard of before opens your blog to a slew of potential readers. Especially if you are struggling to get readers you better explore a handful of new, trusted, established sites to see what resonates with you. Struggle = closed-mindedness. Success = open-mindedness.
Finding new sites also helps insulate you against the constant flux of social sites and other networks either closing down entirely or changing algorithms. We all know by now that Google Plus plans to shut its doors permanently in 2019. If you loved working G Plus it’s time to find a different network for sharing value and making friends. Forget about the endless flow of algorithm changes on Google, Facebook and Twitter. Every update either mildly and dramatically changes how bloggers drive traffic through the blogger. Older sites built on different fundamentals rarely need to shake out spammers and scammers and system gamers through such drastic measures.
Focus on joining established sites guys. Sometimes you may dip your toes in a burgeoning new network but engaging on trusted sites with large, loyal fan bases helps you hit the ground running. The site may be new to you but a huge, trusting following already built the traffic source into a powerhouse. Take advantage of the built in reader base to leverage your blogging traffic skillfully.

Google should be your best friend in this regard. Googling for blog posts discussing new traffic sources helps you see beyond Twitter, Facebook and Google itself to new, promising traffic sources with built in audiences. Spend a few hours searching Google for helpful blog posts. Build a watch list of potential sites for you to explore.
Build your friend network. Mick regularly introduces me to these cool new sites. Unless I networked persistently I never would have met him at the Warrior Forum. Guys; this is why I advise you to network generously every single day. Blogging buddies show you all types of new traffic sources and sometimes invite you into closed, invite-only, traffic sources too.
Tips for Driving Traffic through Any Site
As Mick says, just be yourself guys. No spamming. No desperate pitching. Help people with your content. Promote other bloggers on networks. Comment genuinely on updates. Network generously. Serve people. Make friends. Drive traffic.
You get traffic by giving freely of your time and talents. Adopt this mindset on any network. You’re guaranteed to increase blog traffic, to help a bunch of folks and to have fun while you enjoy the blogging ride.
