Reader Blog Critique

The Reader Blog Critique allows blog owners to get feedback from Blogging Tips readers. Every week we invite an blogger to give a brief description about their blog and the areas which they believe needs improved. Readers are then invited to give feedback and suggestions and the best commenter will be rewarded with a prize

Have Your Blog Critiqued

If you would like your blog considered for a blog critique please contact us.

To ensure that the quality of critiques remains high we ask that :

• Blogs are at least 3 months old (but preferably at least 6 months)
• Blogs have a minimum of 250 subscribers (although more is preferable)
• The blog is actively updated on a regular basis

The Reader Blog Critique will give some exposure to the blog owner though this should not be their main concern, the main point of the critique is to help the blogger improve their blog in some way.

The blogger should give a brief description of the blog and a few things which they believe needs improved though this shouldn’t be any longer than 5 sentences. This will give BloggingTips readers a brief understanding of the blog and what could be done to improve it.

Notes for Commenters

Commenters are the most important part of the critique. With so many people giving their view on the blog the blogger can get a better picture of what needs to be addresses. To encourage comments there will be usually be a prize, sometimes provided by the blogger, sometimes by BloggingTips, sometimes both

Commenters should cover the following topics :

• Content
• Blog Design
• Marketing Strategy

It also goes without saying that comments should be constructive. Being rude and putting a blogger down for the sake of it doesn’t help (I know this doesn’t apply too 99.9% of you because BloggingTips readers are known for their good manners!).
