I read a fantastic post over on negative gamer about the crebility of major gaming review sites. Although it is talking about gaming, a lot of what is said is applicable for all niches.
I've spoke a few times about how quick some bloggers are to praise a new product or service if it was released by a friend or if they were trying to push affiliate referrals themselves. I won't name names but I'm sure you know some of them.
I recommend reading the article. It's a good read and highlights a common problem on the web :)
