What are some of the best sites to get images for your site? If you know please mention if they are free or paid services. Thanks! *SmiLes* Suzanne

We use

http://www.sxc.hu for royalty free photos
http://www.istockphoto.com for dirt cheap photos and those for client sites

Or we take photos ourselves :)

I use flickr mostly. Not very organized but still good for cool and free images.

Check in search settings
"Only search within Creative Commons-licensed content"
"Find content to use commercially"

so you can find images that can be freely used.

Optionally check
"Find content to modify, adapt, or build upon"

if you want images that can be cropped or anything, without this one you only have right to post photo as it is (resizing is probably ok).
