Technorati - submitted my blog, what next?

I have submitted my blog to Technorati, but am not sure quite what I am supposed to do next. Should I place a Technorati Link on my site? I am not quite sure how Technorati works. Could anyone advise me please?

i place a link to technorati showing the blogs that link to me.

however, your blog should ping it after you post. i normally see the bot online blogging tips shortly after i make a post. if they dont drop by and crawl your new page you can manually ping it from technorati (eg. you can tell them to check your site because youve updated)

i sometimes see a short rise in traffic after posting because of being indexed

Get the technorati widget which says something like "Add this blog to my Technorati favorites" This will help those frequent readers of yours to add you up in their favorites. then you could exchange links with other blog. If you are searched in Google for a certain keyword, you could see your 'authority' in the number of blogs linked to you.
