How long did it take before you earn much?

I am just curious, how long did it take before you earned $1000 mark in your blogging. I am sure most of you guys here already earned this much.

I didnt put any ads on my blog for the first couple of years since it was just my hobby. Its only after I crossed 300 visitor a day I realised i can also make some money from this.

I'm not earn $1000 yet but nearly i will reach that amount. hmm, it's need a time to build my blog from 0 to be like now. It's not too good, some of my blog have only 100 visitor per day but in my local country, that amount of traffic is not bad (blog which i mean have 100 visitor/day is for local country market) and i monetize it with direct ads selling (at least i make about $10-$20 and it's for 1 spot, and there is 4 spot of 125x125). To build it i need 1 year.
