I'm blown away ... John Chow blogged about me!

Well ... I am having so much fun with the Blogging Idol contest ... lots of work and long hours later ... today John Chow responded to my video invitation to support me as the next Blogging Idol ... I'm still stunned and I'm totally stoked.

Yeah, it's pretty fun! I hadn't read the comment about Sarah Palin til you pointed it out ... too funny. I moved to Texas 7 years ago and everyone here said I had an accent ... now I go home to San Diego and they say I have an accent ... I'm a mess ... a misfit. LOL

wow! this is amazing. I no longer follow john chow, but a lot of people still do. You are definitely going to get lots of new subscribers. This is the time to get in a few more good posts on your blog. Also a welcome message to jc visitors (requesting them to subscribe) and thnx to jc should help.

About the video in johnchow, i just wanna give advice that don't make it too long because it'll be hard for slow internet connection to open it. Make it only 1.5 minute but still effective, i believe you can do it

Hey everyone ... thank you so much for all of the well wishes ... it's been a super fun (but busy) month for me and I'm just loving my "job" right now.

If you haven't noticed ... I really, really want to win this thing ... not only for me ... but my kids seem to think I'm going to win and I can't let them down right?! I do want my kids to know that even if you know less ... and have less ... you can still succeed with hard work and determination. Even if I don't "win" ... I will have learned so much along the way and I've gotten out there and met some terrific people too.

I was wondering if the video stalled/buffered a lot or if it didn't load? I think I remember you saying you had a slow connection and I try to remember about those things ... does it help if you hit play and then pause ... so it can finish buffering?

As for the pop-ups on JC's site ... the first time I saw one ... it was a box with the scroll bar thingies ... and I had to scroll down and right to find the "close" don't like that much at all and many are using them right now.

Yes, my connection is not too good and i'm use that method ( to pause and finish buffering first). But not all people like to wait, so i think it'll be more good if you make effectively 1.5 minute video or if you still wanna make more than 2minute video, then decrease a bit of the resolution.

I wonder, is there any rulesupdate which contest become allowed? If yes, make contest is good

i heard before that it is fine to hold a contest as long as the prize is not from your own pocket. That means, if the prizes is from sponsors, it is ok.

hmm, so wahmsuzanne, you can looking for a sponsor for contest. I think the prize is not should too much, even "125x125 banner" ads or "Entrecard point" is interesting enough.
