I seem to be having a problem embedding YouTube video in Wordpress 2.2. I knew all about the problem with disabling the rich text editor when posting a YouTube URL - that all worked fine. But now, whenever I try to post, all that comes up is a box with the dreaded red "x" in the corner.
As an example, the following works in Wordpress 2.0 (I've added the spaces at either end):
[ youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxxxxxx ]
but not in Wordpress 2.2
Is anyone aware of this problem and knows of a fix?
Cheers

I think I know. Copy the 'embed' code from YouTube, then paste that into the 'code' part of your post. Then, instead of clicking 'save and continue editing' you just click 'save'.
This is a workaround I found in a Google search and it works. The only downside is you can't give it time to autosave the draft or go back and edit it, because it'll overwrite the embed code you want. Hope that makes sense!

Minx is right, if you simply copy and paste the embed code it should work no problem
the embed code will look something like this
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xxxxxxxxx"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sqduQT242Iw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
