Seems a nice way. But after a while, it gets monotonous and boring.

Your best 404 page (from a usability point of view) is going to explain to the user how they've got to where they are and then either redirect them through to the front of the site or give them options to access the main parts of the site.
That game is just a novelty but I doubt many people actually arriving at a 404 page with that on would play with it.

Totally agree.
Generally a 404 page is a helper when someone reaches your blog for something but finds nothing.
A game there would not be a helper for the visitor.

Kind of fun, thought I have my 404 pages set to a HTML page that directs back to the site as well as holds some information and content, I want people away from the 404 page ASAP

thanks :) i think custom 404 pages are not popular these days like redirecting the users and helping them to find what they are looking for!

The picture is too big on your page, puts everything important below the fold.

They SHOULD be popular, but I think people are either too lazy to make them, or don't know how beneficial they are.

Yes I agree, I don't think it's a case of them not being 'popular'. Many bloggers and new webmasters are simply unaware of 404 errors or haven't set one up. I have to admit, I don't have 404 error pages on all of my sites. Lazy I know!

I need to get to work on customizing mine. I have the same theme as Neandra but I will be modifying it soon. I was going to change it to a modified Lightbreaker but readers said they wanted me to stay with the UBD theme
