I would love to see the forum grow but the problem is that there is not much scope to grow. Here's why:
1. Very few forum categories. You need to have more categories - like Wordpress, Blogging, Money Making, Review, Blog Design, Advertising, Affiliate Marketing etc.
2. Also Official announcements are being made in Suggestions and feedback thread....there should be separation between the two.
And as I explore, I will update this thread of mine with more suggestions.

I respectfully disagree :)
We used to have all the forums you suggested and more however I recently removed them. Put simply the forum is too quiet to have lots of rooms just now. It's much easier to just have two main blogging discussion rooms at the moment as it makes it easier to browse the site.

I suggested this because considering the contest going on, it will be difficult to discuss everything within the realms of current categories.
Fewer categories may be sufficient for small forums but with this contest going on, you should think of adding a couple of more categories.

Once the forum gets much busier the old forum rooms will return, I gurantee that. However, it is too quiet just now.
Basically there are two main forums, one for general blogging discussions and one for more technical questions.
Blogging (http://www.bloggingtips.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2)
General blogging related discussions about Blogging, Making Money, Promoting Your Blog, Search Engine Optimisation, Social Media and more.
&
Build, Develop, Maintain (http://www.bloggingtips.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=9)
Discussion room for questions related to Design & Coding, Domain Names & Website Hosting, Software & Programs and technical questions about Wordpress , Blogger and other Blogging Platforms.

I think the two forums are appropriate enough with the number of new threads that we get.
My only gripe is that people forget to mention which blogging platform they're using, but that's not a forum suggestion, unless you can add in a way to get them to select their blogging platform?

yeah some people leave out important details when asking a question.
I'll add a header to the two main blogging rooms telling members to be descriptive when asking a question.

One more suggestion..use a doubleposting plugin so that post is automatically edited with the consecutive double post without increasing the post count. Referring to this thread... http://www.bloggingtips.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2847#post2847

I don't believe a doubleposting tool is available. What I will say is that members who do this run a very high risk of being ineligible from all prizes and may find themselves banned from the forum as well.

There is a plugin for this: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=96602
It still works on 3.7.x series. I am using it at one of my forums successfully.

Thanks for that. I've added it. Seems to be messing up a little but I'll do some tests and sort it out.

Kevin, i think navjotsingh is right, it's less topic to be discussed here. Well, actually i said this because it will be hard to get more credit if there is only a few topic.
How about add another thread again, i think it'll not quiet because member wanna get the contest prize so they will posting as much as their can.
How about health, buy/sell/trade, anime, music ?

The rooms before were too quiet. I'm not trying to create an evironment where it is easier for people to get credits. People can create threads in the two main blogging rooms and when it gets busier I'll definately add the other rooms back.
Health/anime/music - this has nothing to do with blogging. Non blogging related chat goes in the general chat room. :)

Kevin, you should rename the forum name from Looking to Hire to Looking to Hire/Sell so that it covers both types of transactions. Won't that be better?

I've changed it to 'marketplace' which is the original category name for this section :)
