If you want to recommend a friend or your blog readers to the Blogging Tips Forums then you need to ensure you are using your unique referral id. We occassionally give out prizes for those who bring new members so if you are recommending the site we strongly encourage you to use your referral link.
Your referral link will look something like :
http://www.bloggingtips.com/forums/index.php?referrerid=x (http://www.bloggingtips.com/forums/index.php?referrerid=1)
where x = your member id
To find out your unique referral link please visit the link below :)

Common Questions
Q. Can I link to a specific thread and use my referrel id?
A. Yes you can. You simply add &referrerid=x to the end of the url you want to link to (where x is your member id)
So for example :
If you want to link to http://www.bloggingtips.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1 and your referrer id is 263 you would link to
http://www.bloggingtips.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1&referrerid=263
--------------------------------------
Q. Can someone I refer remove my referral?
A. When you register there is a field which states
If you were referred to this site by an existing member of Blogging Forums, enter their username here.
Referrer:
When someone follows your referrer link this field is already filled in with your forum username. However, it is possible for them to delete this field. Your referreral will still be counted though, even if the user deletes your username from this field.
This is because the referrer link generates a cookie (This cookie will remain until the user deletes it or a year, whichever is first).
