We are only another week or so from the next google update.
Are you expecting an increase in your blogs page rank and if so, in what ways will you be trying to increase your blogs income

I suspect Blogging Tips will get a PR 5. I still don't have enough backlinks for a 6 in my opinion.
I'd still be happy with that mind you. You are in the same position I was Mani, ie. you changed your domain so it's put you back a little

I'm not sure what PR my blog will get.
PR 4 would be amazing
PR 3 I would be really happy
PR 2 Would be okay
PR 1 =
This will be the first page rank for TomLeDree.com (http://www.TomLeDree.com) so I will just have to wait and see!

Yeah... PR 5 is not bad but it's still great to get a higher rank. ;)

My blog currently has a rank of 5. Since the last update, I have been getting some fantastic back links, and my rankings in Google are awesome. As a result, I have a feeling I'm very close to that line of breaking 5 and becoming 6.
I guess time will tell. I'll still be surprised if I do get up to 6, but I don't think it's out of the question. :)

Is it true that a domain can't get a pr on the first update after it was registered?
That is you have to wait for 2 updates to get the first PR for your blog...?

Nope, that's not true, shypys. :)
My Web sites constantly achieve a PR of 4 or 5 on the first update.
As long as you have the quality links coming in before that first update, your PageRank will increase. I recently wrote a post about PageRank on Jane May's Daily Web Ideas. It may be of interest. http://www.dailywebideas.com/7-ways-to-increase-your-pagerank/ :)

In general, how long should it take for a new blog or website to start seeing a better PR?
So starting at a PR0 would it take 2,4,6 manths to see a PR1 to PR4 status.

I'd love it if The Gospel (http://www.gospelrhys.co.uk) goes upto a 5. It **could** happen. iwebtool says "Maybe"
Fair Review (http://www.fair-review.co.uk) is too soon to get anything, I'll wait for the next one.

That depends how fast you build those back links, roundouts.
Google generally performs a public PageRank update every three or so months. If you launch a Web site three weeks before an update and generate plenty of relevant, high quality back links during that three weeks, it may take three weeks to get a PR5.
If you launch a site two months before an update, but don't receive any bank links, then you won't get a PR1 even after two months.
As you can see, it's hard to give a timeline, because everybody receives back links of different qualities at different speeds.

Thankyou for your feedback. I need to work on backlinks. I have had my blog for several months and havent done much in that department. Now I'm kicking myself in the butt. I'm guessing I woln't see any PR for me.:( When will Google be done updating the PR this time around?

I'm not entirely sure when the update is supposed to take place (It may have already started). Generally, once it starts, it takes two or three days for everything to update.

So when is the update...it was being expected as early as july and we're still waiting for it.
From what I hear, Google is implementing major changes in their Algo(so many sites getting bashed), so I expect it to happen in a couple of weeks at the most...

it was originally predicted to occur late July or early August but more than a month later people are still waiting. It will come soon, dont worry :)

I will be happy with PR3 this time around. Then PR5 next update.
I have a few other sites that are 3 and 4 which I expect they will stay the same since they have not been my focus as of late.

I'm definitely expecting an improvement, since my blog is currently at 0. I hope to move to 3. :)
But just as much, I hope that this PR update comes soon. Google sure is taking their sweet time.
