For some reason as 'roundouts' pointed out in Internet Explorer my blog side bar does not display properly. It jumps to the very bottom of my blog.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks

i was having this problem when implementing my 3 column tempate design, which I have scrapped for the time being.

i'm certainly not a coding expert by any stretch but I fixed the problem by adjusting the margins and the padding. Also check to see what your sidebar float is set for. I'm not that familiar with wordpress though.

Any idea what the margins, padding and float should be?

I had a major problem with this a few months ago, the site was all messed up on IE 6 and older browsers

its definately a CSS problem. You can achieve a lot with CSS however all the major browsers, particularly older versions, tend to display pages in very different ways (eg. IE displays borders double the size in older versions etc)

by the looks of it the width of the right column may be too long. Is this a few theme you are using? If so, can I assume the theme had this problem before you got it? (or have you edited it a lot)

Yes the theme had the problem from the start. I will have to play about with the CSS file and see If I can fix it. Thanks for the advice guys. :D

you should check out the solostream themes (http://www.bloggingtips.com/2007/07/12/solostream-free-wordpress-themes/) i posted about last week :)

it might be more hassle than its worth trying to fix a theme that was already messed up

Is it just me or do those themes look ok but seem to lack the "Wow" factor. Maybe with a custom header they would be better?

I'l let you guys know how I get on with the CSS editing tomorow. :D

I know there are some fixes out there about making your columns the same length. this should help with your issue. google it. I remember coming across these fixes for wordpress when searching for some info on blogger beta

I think I have fixed it. The problem seemed to be the "Top Commentators" Plugin
I have removed it from my side bar and now In IE my sidebar works. :D

If you guys could try it too and confirm this that would be great!
