So, here's the deal. if you check out my blog you can read about my situation. I have recently had to relocate to a new city due to my wife's relocation with her company. Since she has a job that pays well, I had to quit my job to move. So, now I'm living in a hotel and deciding what to do. I want to return to school, but don't have quite enough money at the present .(to finish a university degree). I hold a college diploma, but in my area, a college diploma is worthless, especially in business. So...my dilemma. I want to earn enough money from my blog to cover the rent and show my wife that there is potential here so that I can stay home and finish my degree. I can see that there is potential for future earnings but as of yet....NOT A CENT!
How can you help? Can you point me in the right direction for advertising or affiliate programs?
How do i get more that 25 unique visitors per day?
How many visitors do I need to have to succeed?
thanks for reading this post and assisting.

the easiest thing on earning on a blog is writing an interesting article every day..
also join lots of forums, and submit your site to different directories..
in short networking, connect to different people on the web so you can easily earn revenue through them.. but make sure not to add lots of advertisement on your site.. 'coz that will make your visitors close your site..

Networking is the most important thing you can do to bring more traffic to your blog. Join different forums, put links for your blog in your signature. (if it's allowed of course) Don't overload your blog with ads. That's a big turn off for a lot of people. It makes them feel like you're trying to push something on them. A few well placed ones work great though.

My advice would be to not put all your eggs in one basket. If you have a degree then my advice would be to get a full time job and do blogging in your spare time. It took me years of working online before I could quit my day job and even now I dont make as much as I would have if I had stayed in a 9-5. Im not trying to discourage you, you just need to put things into perspective. If you are living in a hotel then you need money and quickly and its unlikely you would make any decent money from blogging for a year at the least.

You can put some adsense ads to earn at least some cents on your blog. You don’t mention how old your blog is. This ha something to do with your blog being able to accept those paid posting on paid-to-blog sites.
If you are asking advices then I will advice you to get out of the hotel and just rent an apartment that is closer to your wife’s working place. This will save you lots of money.

Unfortunately, you are in a sink or swim situation since you are out of work. I know you want to make the blog work, but based upon what I've read, it takes time to build up enough traffic to make money on a blog. Would you consider at least taking a part time job while you build up your blog?
