View Full Version : Your Superman Character
One of the things I love about your site is the character in the home page, the superman sitting around the stacks of cash. I was in a business venture a couple of years ago and I was in charge of development and artwork and my friends dad and industry contact (old dudes) were the money men. It was as site to "BUY/SELL/TRADE" video games and DVD's. Called WWW.SUPERGAMER.COM. I paid for the site and the development, then was bailed on. Anyhow, long story short, I get more compliments on the artwork supergamer-man than anything else on the site.
I really like your super-cash guy! ...ok, my ambien is kickin in, i'm out

Am I right in thinking it was Sergio Suanez from SOSFactory who did the mascot, Kevin? I've spoken with Sergio a few times in the past, after meeting him at WebHostingTalk.com

Yeah it was Sergio. He did a great job :) I'd definately use him again for any future mascots

Yup, Sergio does fantastic work. He's a little more expensive than his closest competitor (CastleMelody (http://www.castlemelody.com)) but Sergio's work is well worth the price.
I've worked with both Sergio and Allan at CastleMelody, and they both operate solid businesses with an awesome end product. :)

Kevin I really like the mascot and site design. Not that I am one to be giving you tips or anything but I did notice one thing today concerning the mascot and site design.
I was over at Technorati and noticed that your site thumbnail doesn't reflect your new and improved site and mascot. This was bothering me about my site a while back so I posted about how to change it. If you would like you can check my post about how to change your thumbnail in technorati (http://cmansmoneypages.blogspot.com/2007/06/changing-your-sites-thumbnail-image-in.html).

yeah I've been a bit lazy and I've failed to update it. I'll try and update it in the next few days (promise!;))
HA... Kevin I was checking out the supergamer stats tonight and noticed in the log files there was a link on your site and I was like, "he knows about this site?" It looks like I had taken an ambien and it started working...guess the memory loss thing is true! :-)
I wish I remembered the guy who did my logo. He had a site full of great characters he made.
Thanks Kevin...I'll add LW to my sig.

The mascot definitely stands out and is nice to look at - the facial expression though comes off a bit sleazy (imo) :)
The first time I saw the mascot, I thought the cash was some sort of paper stacks :D
Off topic: Are you as fit and muscular as your mascot implies it, Kevin? Huh? ;)

Your the first person to say I am sleazy in the cartoon world haha :)
Unfortunately I am not as muscly as my cartoon alter ego but I train twice a week in Taekwondo and go to the gym once or twice as well so I at least stay trim....but I aint no schwarzenegger ;)

I didn't say you're sleazy, Kevin, it's just the facial expression of the mascot! How would you describe it then? :)

mmm I would say he looks cheesy! Although I understand where your coming from, I wouldn't trust anyone who walks around with red underwear on over tights!
