Problem with Permalink!!

I set up the wordpress blog in a folder (name xvideo) within public_html, to be a new blog ( which is xvideo.hisdir.com) . I set up google friendly permalink structure. And whenever I click on the link which suppose to go to one of my post, it goes to the main site which is hisdir.com. Please help!

You need to set up the blog on the subdomain itself. What you've probably done is run factastico on your primary domain[hisdir.com] and then installed the blog on a subdirectory.

Either this or you need to edit the .htaccess file with the permalink structure that wp provides. So copy it and paste it in the .htaccess file.

Thx for a very helpful tip Shypys...The problem is the .htaccess is not updated automatically even the permission is already set to 666, so after the file is updated manually with the code by wp, now it works correctly.

Yeah, you have to do it manually if its not chmod-ed to 777 or 577.
