I have just found a list of online press release sites I thought I would share

I have released a press release in the past which resulted in a local radio interview (not blog related) so its worth a go to promote your blog. Has anyone used press releases to drive traffic to their blog?

i used one for a forum years ago but i havent used it since then. its something we have talked about doing at my poker forums for a while but havent got round to it :)
