Do you use Facebook to promote your blog?

There are Facebook apps that allow you to feed your blog into your profile. I haven't tried it yet but was wondering if anybody else does, and if so has it got you more traffic?

I was also wondering if I could create a Facebook group on my topic and feed my blog into the groups page.

I had my FB account autoposting notes from my blog's RSS feed. It brought in a little traffic but I didn't like the way it came out.

A better way would be to set up a page on Facebook and link your Twitter account to the page. Then your Tweets update your Facebook page. You're better off with a page instead of just limiting to your own private profile where likely only your friends will see it.

I must admit that I use facebook in promoting my site with my fb friends. It is a useful site to gain traffic.

FB to promote the blog is certainly useful but I don't think it gives much traffic unless u have friends in your friend's list u don't actually know.

Yes Twitter also. The technique here is choosing your friends. You must prioritize those persons who are interested on your niche. For example in me, I have pet sites, then I must look for people who are pet lovers.

I use Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. FriendFeed also helps as well as joining forums. :)
