I'm the founder & editor of Serve The Song (http://www.servethesong.net), a blog about songwriting, music production, and online music promotion.
I'm looking to bring in a partner to co-run the blog with me. Two heads are better than one, and together we can bring this website to the next level.
About www.servethesong.net
It was started about 6 months ago.
We currently have 100+ RSS subscribers, and an average of 150 uniques per day. Not massive traffic, I know. But it's certainly a start.
There have been 6+ guest posts (with several more scheduled in the coming weeks)
The design has been updated along with new logo design.
Driven by Wordpress.
Branded video tutorials and screencasts are also produced and syndicated on a variety of video sites.
About me
I'm a freelance web designer and developer. I built Serve The Song from the ground up, along with several other blogs and major websites. I specialize in custom Wordpress development as well as design for the web. I know a bit about marketing and SEO (but this not my primary expertise).
I'm also musician, songwriter, and music producer. I'm a trained audio engineer. I draw on this experience for the content of the blog posts.
Who I'm looking for
The right candidate should fill the following criteria:
Musician! You should be involved in music, songwriting, music production, and/or the music business.
Blogging Experience - have writing skills (specifically, blog post writing), experience working with blogs, interacting with readers, etc.
Social Media experince - You should be an active Twitterer. Other social media networking skills a plus.
Technical Skill - While I will likely fill most of the technical responsibility, you should be web savvy. Familiarity with Wordpress a plus.
Pluses (but not required) - SEO skills, web design skills, existing following from previous / current blogs.
The Parnership
We will discuss the details later... but the idea is we will split all responsibilities equally: Writing, editing, promoting the blog, seeking guest writers, interviews, video production, etc. We will split all revenue from the blog (monetization to be discussed).
Contact to Discuss
email me: brian AT casjam DOT com.
Send me links to your writing work, your music, info about you, and why you're interested in a part ownership of Serve The Song.
