These are usually really great ways to get the word out about your blog and I've heard lots of good reports from people who have done it. Personally I've never tried blog contests but that's just because I'm waiting to have my own blog better developed first.

How exactly do these contest work? I am realtively new to forums and blogging and I am really getting more and more interested in them, so can someone give me some information?

I have joined a few of these before but sadly I haven’t won a single bit. I’m also thinking of running my won contest to get some more publicity for my blog. I’m going to send them to you too. I hope that I can get more participants so that I could get more back links to my site.
