I was wondering last night why there hadn’t been any comments about the launch of our new design or the release of the evolution theme, particularly as traffic has been high the last few days. Design Info
Our previous design was based on Brian Gardner’s Revolution Theme. I liked the design however I thought it was about time the site got a new design to help distinguish it from the rest of the pack.
Our new theme was designed by Design Saurus and incorporates our original logo from David Airey. The theme features :
- Less clutter in the sidebar
- Gravatar support
- Author automatically highlighted in comment area (for many authors)
- Multi tab which shows latest…

New BloggingTips theme within the week
I mentioned around 2 months ago that I was getting a new design developed for BloggingTips. Unfortunately, Ptah Dunbar is no longer designing the theme and a different design company has designed a brand new theme from scratch for me.

Ptah Dunbar was kind enough to offer to do a redesign of BloggingTips. The colour scheme will be remaining the same as will the logo etc. The main thing Ptah wants to do is make the site more user friendly and present the information in a better way.

Like most blogs, BloggingTips gets it’s fair share of spam. It’s a real pain in the ass but up until now it’s not been a major hassle for me.
At the start of this blog’s life Akismet was catching just about every spam comment which was left. A few months ago I was getting 2 or 3 spam comments left on posts.
