BloggingTips has for a long time been a place where guest bloggers are can submit posts. I have certainly raised the bar in the last 6-9 months for how good posts need to be to published here but there is no denying the overall standard of posts being submitted has dropped considerably in the last few months.

I have read a lot of posts on blogging and web development related blogs in the last few weeks. Many of these blogs are only a few months old and are unfortunately making the same mistake in their ad area.

One technique bloggers use to advertise an ad space is to place a default ‘Advertise here’ banner in their sidebar however I have seen many blogs putting 2 or more of these ads on their sidebar. There is no need to place more than 1 banner ad on your blog…

I recently removed the Skribit suggestion widget from BloggingTips. It was a useful tool however I didn’t like how I could not contact those who made post suggestions to explain why a post could not be covered. In future, post suggestions should be in the Suggestions & Feedback Room.
