Google is top dog when it comes to indexing speed but their index is chock full of spam.

I thought I’d give it a quick test for a term I coined, Gateway Blogging.

This morning, Darren Rowse was one of the first to post the news that PayPerPost Inc has changed it’s name to IZEA. The site is really just a place for the company to list all of their main websites like Pay Per Post and Blogger’s Choice Awards but it’s also a place to attract investors.

Nintendo Contractor Fired for Blogging
Jessica Zenner, a 33 year old contractor for Nintendo, was sacked last week for having a personal blog. Her blog was essentially just an online diary of her life as a mother, wife and employee of nintendo (visit her blog here).
Nintendo’s stance was that ‘Nintendo doesn’t bar employees from having blogs, but we generally don’t encourage them’.

BlogRush have just announced that they will be offering users a variety of colors to choose from for their widget.
John Reese published an update at Income.com saying
You’ll be able to choose the color of your choice so it more closely matches the design of your blog.

Less than a month after the Malaysian goverment cracked down on bloggers, the Wordpress.com domain has been banned in all of Turkey (*Wordpress.com is the hosted version of Wordpress).

So Oktar, who also goes by the name Harun Yahya, went to court. And the court decided that the best way to deal with the problem was to block all access to Wordpress.com…
I sometimes forget that there are goverments around the world who do not like the notion of free press. I was reminded of this last week with the news that Malaysia are going to be using anti-terrorism laws against bloggers who insult Islam or the king.
