One of my favorite things about blogging and content creation on the internet is that it can be done from anywhere. Never before have people from all around the world been able to connect with one another on such a level playing field. Blogging has simply brought us all together like we never could have imagined.
In this latest edition of Meet the Bloggers, we are going to meet with Robin Khokhar, who is a blogger from India and shares his expertise in SEO and content creation. Here’s what he had to say.
1.) Please tell us about yourself and how you got into blogging?
My name is Robin Khokhar, and I am a blogger. I am currently running my blog named Tricky Enough. Aside from that, I have started a new project called Pixa Ocean where I aim to provide free images. I Live in Amritsar (which is also known as the Holy City) a district of Punjab (India).
Even Today, I remember the day on which I started my blog named Tricky Enough. It was 5th October 2015 when I started my career in Blogging. And the best reason I started blogging was when I saw some of the amazing bloggers like Harsh Aggarwal and Amit Aggarwal making millions from their blogs. And after doing a complete research on blogging and different bloggers, I decided to start my own blog where I would be able to share my experience of SEO with other people and could make money Online.
2.) What is the focus of your blog and why did you choose that niche?
The Focus of my blog is on SEO. Previously, I was working in a Local SEO company for two years before starting my blog and I learned many things about SEO and did SEO for more than 50 sites with satisfactory results.
So, I decided to choose a niche which belongs to the field of SEO and related terms.
3.) How are you currently monetizing your blog traffic?
Now, my blog is monetized with Google Adsense. I am earning a good amount of money from the Google Adsense. But besides that, I am also involved in affiliate programs and sponsored posts for little extra dollars.
4.) What do you know now that you wish you knew when you first started blogging?
There were many things which I did not know about blogging before I started my Blog. The biggest thing that I didn’t know and I wish that I would have known is “communication”. I did not know that how to communicate with other bloggers and visitors of my blog, but I learned that think after running my blog for four months.
5.) What are three blogs that you visit almost daily?
There is an extensive list of blogs which I wish I could visit daily. But currently, the three blogs that I visit daily are Searchengineland.com, Backlinko.com, and Neilpatel.com. I always get something new to learn from these amazing blogs.
6.) Can you give us three recommended tools/services that you use with your blogging?
You will be surprised that I do not use any special tools or devices. But the best tool that I recommend is Google Keyword Planner which is free and dependable. And there are others like Grammarly which I use for checking spelling and grammatical mistakes, SmallSEOtools for checking the uniqueness of the content and for social sharing I use Add to Any.
7.) What advice would you have for someone who is just starting with their first blog?
I have many things to say. But the most important thing which I want to tell them is “to keep patience”. Because one does not gets success with a blog in a night or few days. A blog would take the time to get traffic and eventually making money. And also, I would advise that if you are starting a blog, then there will be a time when you will want to give up on blogging, but I will say “Never give up” because one day the same blog is going to get you the fame and money.
8.) What’s the best advice or tip you’ve discovered about blogging since getting started?
The best thing I have discovered about blogging is that it is an investment. Investment of time, effort and hard of months and years which will surely give the best results if we will have patience.
9.) If you only had $100 to start a new blog, how would you use it?
A hundred dollars is a good amount for me to start a blog. I will get the Hosting and domain for $12 from Godaddy using a Coupon, and then rest of the $88 I will use for doing the paid advertisement on Facebook. Although, I will use that $88 when I already have some good posts on my blog.
10.) How can readers of the blog get in touch with you?
Thanks again to Robin Khokhar for taking the time to share his advice and story with the Blogging Tips community. If you would like to learn about other bloggers and how they are finding success online, be sure to read through our blogger interview series.
