Instead of creating a design from scratch every time, it’s a wise idea to buy the X theme, which can be used for almost any niche.
Thanks to the level of customization it features, it packs more than dozens of Demos which are one-click away from the setup. Other than that, hundreds of new design can be
X Theme Review
One area where X theme excels is value for money. The plugins and extensions it packs make the whole package a definite worthy of the price. Otherwise, one has to pay for those plugins separately, adding to the overall cost.
But, not every such theme is useful when it comes to real usage. So, we have to find out if going with the purchase is really a better idea or not.
- It supports all kind of Post formats, making it possible to launch any sort of website using the available features.
- Dozens of preset Demos are available which are one-click away from the setup. In every new version, the developers are adding new Demos.
- It is always compatible with the latest version of WordPress and it’s the latest HTML5 and CSS3 powered code behind.
- The overall graphics and every visual element are compatible with Retina display featuring devices and all other smartphones. Yes, responsive layout feature is onboard!
- About a dozen of premium plugins are offered in the package without any additional cost.
- Dedicated theme options panel is also available at the Dashboard which makes it easy to bring a possible visual and functional change.
- The product was launched in 2013 and since then, it has never looked back. Right now, it’s in 5th version, which means the developers behind are always up to improving the product.
These were the highlight features but, when it comes to a product like X Theme, it’s hard to limit the number of premium features. There are tons of features available onboard, making space for customizations.
SEO and Performance
The theme is not the only part which affects SEO and performance but, it definitely plays a major role. Considering X as a premium product, both SEO and performance score has to be in the perfect zone.
During my testing, I did find the score in the above average zone. The reason why it’s not the lightest theme is because of the tons of features it packs.
However, the choice of typography, extensions, and code behind is made keeping performance factor in mind. So, it still manages to achieve above average score.
Coming at the SEO part, there is nothing questionable as everything is compatible with the norms. It is still advisable to use a third-party SEO plugin like Yoast for better results.
The overall design is nothing new but, the scope for customization makes this theme a really good deal. With the available options inside Options Panel, and using the two Page Builder tools, the possibilities are endless.
You can either setup a website for a landing page, selling a product from any niche, or simply set up a blog, or a website for a company or institute. Whatever may be the case, the design always stays branded and responsive to support smartphones and other modern devices.
Typography is another area where the developers have focused, adding the possibility to select a typography for a particular element out of hundreds of available options.
When it comes to the design, typography plays a major role. It can increase or decrease the overall user experience, especially if the website relies on text content to drive conversions.
If the niche is unique and you wish to setup a totally unique looking landing page, then there is Visual Composer inside. It comes with a couple of dozens of visual elements which can be simply dragged and dropped to achieve a particular design and added functionality.
Unlike other competitor themes, X comes with one more page builder, named Cornerstone. It’s another page builder using which the webmaster can quickly create a unique looking web page. These settings can be enabled for all the Posts or Pages or a particular one.
If you don’t wish to use one of these or any of these, they will never interfere with the normal functioning. Of course, the availability of two premium tools is an added benefit but, it also makes the theme slightly heavier than the competitor ones which are loaded with just one of them. But, the difference in performance is nothing to worry about!
Theme Options Panel
The Options Panel available at the Dashboard is where most of the efforts you’ll see from the developers to make it an easy to use the product. Everything is easy to use, thanks to the proper labels and there is an option to preview any changes without refreshing the window.
All the premium plugins available are compatible to work with the base code. You can quickly turn ON a particular plugin and bring those premium features onboard.
It’s dead simple to setup an e-commerce setup, thanks to WooCommerce and related extensions support. The same goes for setting up a forum, thanks to the added support for bbPress and BuddyPress plugins.
Over to You
Now that you’re aware of all the features, pros and cons of X theme, what’s your final decision? In my opinion, the theme deserves attention and is totally worth buying.
My favorite part is that developers behind are always working to keep it updated and adding new demos. The options to extend existing functionalities is an added benefit.
