Affiliate Summit East 2013 Recap

Posted by on 23rd Aug 2013 | 7 comments

The Affiliate Summit East 2013 was another terrific conference. In this post, I will review and recap the Affiliate Summit. The Affiliate Summit East 2013 took place Aug 18-20 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. I had the privilege to attend the Affiliate Summit and be able to network, attend the exhibit hall, meet market, and keynotes. I spend all three days networking, attending sessions, and meeting new people who can potentially take me to the next level. The reason why I attended the Affiliate Summit East is to connect with people and companies that can teach me different revenues of making money online.

Why attend the Affiliate Summit?

The main advantage of attending the Affiliate Summit is to network with different people and companies. The Affiliate Summit is a great place to network with different companies, affiliates, and sponsors. There are many ways people are connecting at the Affiliate Summit which include the Meet Market where people meet and greet companies looking for potential clients and affiliates. The  Meet Market is where the different companies set up booth and display their programs. What to expected when attending the Meet Market?

  • Companies looking to buy web traffic.
  • Companies looking to sell web traffic.
  • Affiliate Marketing looking for new affiliates.
  • Social Media Agencies that handle your social platforms.
  • Mobile Media agencies looking for potential business.
  • Search Engine Optimization agencies looking for business.
  • And many more.

Who attended the Affiliate Summit East 2013?

The Affiliate Summit had over 4500 + attendees the biggest number so far. While networking, I met tons of people who came from all around the world to attend the conference. The Affiliate Summit was filled with keynote speakers, top bloggers, affiliates, press, and first time beginners.

By attending the Affiliate Summit the benefits are:

  1. Learn all about the industry.
  2. Meet people with whom you are able to established potential partnerships.
  3. To gain insights into the experiences of others in the same industry.
  4. To generate ideas.
  5. To forge partnerships.
  6. To learn more about the industry of online marketing.

What to expect when attending the Affiliate Summit?

The Affiliate Summit usually starts off on a Saturday for early check in. The early check in allows individuals to pick up their badge and attendee bag. The Affiliate Summit East took place from Aug 18-20, which normally falls from a Sunday through Tuesday. The first day of the Affiliate Summit many people attended the first timers orientation. The first time orientation gives people advice for people attending the conference the first time. The very own founder of the Affiliate Summit East Shawn Collins directed the orientation. The session was open to all pass holding. In the attendee bag, you get the Affiliate Magazine called, “Feed Front.” The Feed Front includes brief descriptions of all the guest speakers, whom to follow, and the agenda of every day. The agenda gives you a quick overview of all the sessions, location of the sessions, and who can attend the sessions.

What type of pass do I need to attend the Affiliate Summit?

While attending the Affiliate Summit East there are fours types of passes to select. The different passes to buy for the Affiliate Summit are All Access Pass, VIP Pass, Networking Plus Pass, and Networking Pass. I have described a bit of each pass, so you are able to choose which one fits your need.

All Access Pass: All access passes includes breakfast and lunch for both Monday and Tuesday. The pass also includes admissions to Meet Market, Exhibit Hall, Keynotes, and all educational sessions. The pass also includes perks such as session videos, power point presentation, and your business logo in your badge.

VIP Pass: The VIP also includes breakfast and lunch for both Monday and Tuesday. The VIP pass gives admissions to all educational sessions, keynote, Meet Market, and recorded session videos.

Networking Plus Pass: The networking plus pass also gives admission to Meet Market Exhibit hall, keynotes and recorded sessions.

Networking Pass: The networking pass only gives admission to keynotes, Meet Market, and exhibit hall.

Depending on your budget these are four different passes available when attending the Affiliate Summit. I prefer the VIP Pass because it gives admission to every session and everything else.

Highlights of Affiliate Summit East 2013.

The highlight of the Affiliate Summit East was attending sessions with experts and networking. The sessions are a great way to gain insights from the experts. The sessions are composed of 30 min to 1 hour discussing the different ways to gain revenue streams of income. The sessions covered all different type of topics from experts teaching how to create a successful site to pay per click campaigns. After each session, there are Q&A questions that you’re able to ask the expert questions. The Q&A is a terrific way to learn from the experts.

Here is a quick preview of the different sessions in the Affiliate Summit East 2013.

  • Creating Authority Blogs and Passive Monthly Income.
  • How To Choose An Affiliate Marketing Program And Make Money.
  • Growing A Mature Affiliate Program.
  • Optimizing Affiliate Marketing Campaigns Using Mobile.
  • Does Your Program Have Juice?
  • Managing Organic Campaign for Small Businesses.
  • Making The Most of Working From Home.

The session’s ranges from beginner, intermediate, and advanced. While attending the Affiliate Marketing my suggestion is to attend the sessions that will be the most beneficial for your business.  I also enjoy the networking process of the Affiliate Summit. The best advice I can give while attending the Affiliate Summit is to network, network, and network. Many people attend the Affiliate Summit and sit in the corner playing with their phones and computers when they can be networking with others.

The #1 benefit of attending the Affiliate Summit is the networking with like-minded individuals. The person next to can be your next potential business partner. I strongly recommend attending an Affiliate Summit to broaden your horizons, meet new people, and getting more insights for online marketing.

I hope to see you at the next Affiliate Summit West 2014 in Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The next Affiliate Summit is January 12-14, 2014. Find more information at AffiliateSummit.com

Another great benefit of Affiliate summit is that you find the accurate affiliate which is most fit for you blog; apparently affiliate giants look great and one can’t stop promoting their products on his blog but they are already being promoted by pro bloggers so the need is to find mid level affiliates to sell their products and make smart money with this strategy

The Affiliate Summit was in my town this year but I still didn’t get a chance to attend. I do like the idea of attending live events and I think it is the best way to connect with people and network. Maybe next year I will make it to Vegas. Thanks for the recap.
