By now you are probably familiar with guest posts, correct? That is good because with all the recent changes that Google has been making, this might be the only sure fire way to get backlinks. Now, every blogger wants more traffic to their blog, but what is the best way to do that.
Long tail keywords are ones that don’t get a lot of searches per month but don’t have a lot of competition. The benefit of targeting long tail keywords is that you can get more traffic faster by going after keywords that others are not targeting.
For example, a site that goes after “link building” will have a long road ahead of them as opposed to another site going after, “Effective link creation strategies”. Do you see where I am going with this?
I don’t want to get into long tail keywords, this will have to be for another post. The reason I am writing this post is because many people are missing out on a lot of traffic, simply because they are not building the right links to the correct keywords.
The best links that you can get are from guest posts. The reason you need to be writing guest posts is because they carry more weight (In Google’s eyes) and they will send traffic to your site. All you need to do in order to build a backlink to your site is write an article based on the topic of your site or article you will be linking to and then submit it to one of the many blogs online.
This may surprise some bloggers, however, most traffic gurus don’t target keywords with more than 10,000 local searches per month. The best performing keywords usually get anywhere from 100-500 local searches per month. This is where you should be as well. If you can increase your traffic with very little work, then why not do it?
As you can see, with the right links and the correct keywords, getting more traffic is fairly easy. The reason the title of this article is, “Guest Post Your Way To Long Tail Domination” is because that is exactly what you can do.
Here is what I recommend – For every article you write on your blog, create one guest post and link back to it using the long tail keyword that you are targeting.
If you can keep this up for 10-20 articles, then you should easily increase your traffic by 50-100 visitors per day. I know this doesn’t sound like a lot of traffic, however, think about the amount of articles you wrote and the time you put into this strategy. Getting 100 visitors per day for an entire year would be a huge return on the little amount of time that you spent writing the article and creating the guest post.
In order to give you a head start, here are some tips that will help you during this strategy.
Submit Guest Post To High PR Blogs – Submitting a guest post to a site which has a Page Rank of 0 will do you no good, you need to stick to blogs with a Page Rank of at least 2. The reason I recommend going after PR2 links is because they provide more authority and will help you increase your search engine position very quickly.
Make Guest Post Informative – This really doesn’t need to be said, however, some people forget it. If your guest post has no purpose and doesn’t provide the reader with any information, then there is not point for another blogger to use it on their site. With that said, make sure every guest post is extremely informative for your sake and the readers.
Target Easy To Rank Keywords – Now, this entire strategy will not work if you target high competition keywords. This is why you need to target easy to rank keywords. My rule of thumb is to never target a keyword that has less than 4 words in it. Just remember that this strategy does work, but if you find yourself building links to high competition keywords then everything will just be a waste of time.
Keep Writing – If you create one guest post and your site is still not on the top of Google, then write another article. If you did your keyword research correctly, then it shouldn’t take much to get your articles to rank on the first spot on Google, however, some keywords are a little trickier than others. Just make sure you write until you are ranking for that desired keyword.
I know how well guest posting works and partnering that with long tail keywords will only give your site more traffic. If you want to increase your traffic and ultimately your blogs income, then you need to Guest Post Your Way To Long Tail Domination.
