Here just recently I wrote about the Google panda attacked that’s just got the whole internet rushing to check their rankings. Google decide they were tired of the old refurbish content type sites such as ezinearticles, and decide to do some house cleaning.
Ezine traffic dropped so fast that they decided to do some house cleaning of their own just to make big brother Google happy. So they changed the minimum word limit to 400 and are making it twice as hard to get your articles approved..even though I am a platinum member.
Basically this Google panda thing has started a wave of madness among the blogging world and some people are having a heart attack over it. I’m here to tell people to calm down because this is not really a big deal and I will explain why.
You see I’m one of those guys who know about how the search engines works and how seo play a big part in ranking sites. Google knew over the pass five to six years, their has been more content being created online due to the new age of blogging and how easy it is to setup blogs these days.
By saying that..the search engine has been getting hit for years with just low quality content from websites and article on article directories as of EzineArticles. basically the time has come for them to down grade all the bad content and keep pushing up all the good quality content.
So this sacred the living day lights out of the average niche type blogger who have 100 niches sites with only five pages on them. They know Google is mainly coming after sites like that which holds no weight when it comes to helping the searchers.
Now people are panicking and they are really spreading their views on this topic and people just can’t stop talking about it. My thing is to tell you guys that it’s going to be ok my friend, Google loves all site, but just not the ones that don’t add value.
I can say this because I’m still ranked for some high traffic terms and it seems like this movie continues to play on for guys like me who follow the rules of marketing.
So What Are The Rules?
First and foremost you should not worry about this update crap unless you know your cutting corners on growing your site with fresh and original content. When I say fresh content, it doesn’t mean you have to write a post every day. But you do need to write at least twice or so a week to let the good old Google bot know your still alive.
Plus stay away from linking to bad sites and keep away from doing link exchange. I think Google is locking down on that even more now. By all means just keep the content going and don’t let your site sit there and die, because if you do then Google might just drop you off the map.
