Do you like to answer questions and show off what you know? Are you addicted to Yahoo Answers? Even if you aren’t, you stay may love Replyz. I have found that once you get started it’s pretty addicting. Replyz is a new Twitter tool that lets you ask and answer questions using the power of Twitter. It “helps people tap into the real-time stream so they can ask questions from anywhere, get replies in real-time and join conversations that matter to them.” It’s a great way to share your knowledge and may even help you build your following.

Once you login via Twitter OAuth, it’s pretty easy to get started. You can view recent questions that have been asked or search specifically by keyword(s). You can also filter questions by those that have replies, don’t have replies or just view them all. If you choose to search by keyword(s) then you can also use the FOLLOW THIS TOPIC button to keep track of the topics you care about on the dashboard.
You can also ask your own questions right on the site by clicking on the START A CONVERSATION button in the navigation header. If you don’t want people to know that you asked the question, you can choose to post anonymously (as seen below).

The dashboard keeps track of your conversations for you. You can see conversations that you’ve started or ones that you’ve answered. You can also see the topics you’re following. Since you can also follow specific users, there’s also a place to see question only by the people you’re following. To answer question, just click on it and type in the reply box.
I really like that you can follow specific topics but, I wish there was an option to receive a daily or weekly email with new questions on those topics. From what I can gather, this doesn’t seem to be an option. It’s hard enough keeping up with the various social networking sites that we use so, email notifications would be very convenient.
Of course, Replyz is not the only questions and answers tool for Twitter. If you’re looking for something similar you might want to check out TweetQA, LazyTweet and AskOnTwitter (just to name a few).

Hey Charnita,
This looks like a fab lil social media tool, I can sense I will be addicted to using it!
I am going to check it out now, I may be gone quite some time….
Great post, thanks for letting me know about Replyz.
Sally :
No problem
Enjoy!!
Decided to check this one out last night. I HAD A BLAST! Whoooohooo.
Twitter is a chore for me. Probably because of it’s linear nature and how difficult it can be to find people to really connect with on any given topic.
There are no such problems with Replyz. The search is fast and very good at finding conversations that are pertinent to your interests. I had fun answering questions and met a really nice person to have a chat with.
Makes the Twitter experience just flow. What a delightful online service you have shared with us.
Thanks for the kind words Joella! And thanks for reaching out to people through Replyz. We’re glad to hear you were able to take it a step further and actually have a real-time, helpful conversation with someone. We designed Replyz with that goal in mind. As you point out, Twitter was originally designed essentially for one-way broadcasting of “what you’re doing,” but we also saw the opportunity to help people have two-way conversations, and share advice back and forth. It looks like that’s exactly how you’re using it, and we appreciate that. Thanks again. We’ll be sure to follow you on Twitter and stay in touch.
I had a great time answering different kind of questions at the site. From the most silly question to the serious ones.. But basically from what I know, people ask questions where they do know the answer. It is just a matter of confirming what they know of.
Well, what you said, I also have very much the same feeling, wish we can together to discussion!
