Favit is a lifestreaming service that lets you keep up with updates from your friends and your favorite RSS feeds all in one place. You can also update your status on Facebook and Twitter as well as send and receive private messages and DMs. The RSS reader is built around discussions so, you will be able to leave comments on the original sources of your feeds. There is also a built in “read later” feature that lets you save items to be read at a later time.
Connect with Friends
Immediately upon signing up you can connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as choose whether or not to automatically share your Facebook activity on Favit. Connecting your Facebook account will bring in your friend stream and allow you to see their updates, comment and like their content. You’ll even be able to send them private messages. Connecting your Twitter basically does the same thing – lets you read, update and send tweets.
Subscribe to Feeds
Favit can also be used as a feed (RSS) reader and, it does that quite well. This is done by entering the URL of the website or blog that you’d like to subscribe to. They will even supply a list of suggestions on the right hand side that you can choose to add if they interest you.

Discover More
Favit will suggest topics and users that you may want to subscribe to. Topics are on the left side and people are on the right. For each topic you’ll be able to see how many total subscribers it has and you can also preview a topic or person before actually subscribing.
Invite Friends
What fun is a social lifestream if you have no one to share it with? You are given the option to post a Facebook status and tweet about the service right from the site. You can also share the link with friends so that you can subscribe to them directly from the site.
User Interface
The site is made up of 2 columns with a left menu bar that can be toggled (appear/disappear). On the menu you can do things like search and navigate the site. You can also add new feeds and find new people to follow. When you click on an item (update, tweet or RSS) in the left column, it shows up in the larger right column in full view. The right column is where you interact while the left columns serves almost as an inbox.

There are some unique features on RSS items. You can “like”, share, reshare, read later and add comments. The features are pretty similar to Google Reader with the addition of being able to comment on all content types. These features also apply when reading tweets and Facebook updates. So as you can see, Favit really encourages interaction and discussions.
I’ve used other lifestream services in the past and Favit is very unique. I like the setup and features that are offered. How about you? Will you consider using Favit exclusively as your feed reader?

Hi guys,
Favit will make my life so much easier. So I'm looking forward to setting everything up tonight before I go to bed. Thanks for sharing.
