DooID is slick digital business card with social media integration and impressive privacy protection. If you’ve used tools like Retaggr, Card.ly or BusinessCard 2 then I’m sure you’re familiar with the “Virtual Business Card”. They’re really nice to have because it puts your entire social identity into a compact little card on the Web. DooID has some unique features that I haven’t seen with other virtual cards.

Edit Profile

This is where you add general information such as your name, a tagline, a picture and contact information. There is a section for private data and business data. Your emails, phone numbers and addresses can be public or private – it’s up to you. There is also a spot for a mini bio – 350 characters or less. A CV (Curriculum Vitae) can also be added here in a pdf format but, this feature is only for PRO accounts. Lastly, you can set a guest password to protect the data that you chose to be private in this section. So, whoever you give the password to will be able to see the information that you marked as private.

Edit Networks, Links and Services

This is where you can add your social profiles and website links. When you click the “Add new service” button you’ll get a dropdown menu of all the services that can be added. There are 50+ networks here that you can connect to your card. Again, you can choose to have your usernames public or private; those people with the password will be able to see your private usernames.

Edit Interests

Here you can add words that interest you – kind of lack tags. There’s a slider underneath where you can rank the importance of the word to you; the scale goes from 30 (low importance) to 100 (high importance).

Edit Design and Colors

This is where you get to choose a theme and then customize that theme to your liking. There is currently only one free theme to choose from, the other six are for PRO accounts. You can choose what color set you’d like as the main scheme. You can further customize your title font, background and text colors, card positioning and more.

Share your DooID

Quickly and easily share your DooID on Twitter, Facebook, or Google Buzz right from the site. Create a signature to use in your email or get a widget for your website or blog.
