Yiid is a great place to connect, manage and showcase all of your social network profiles. You get to build a single profile that will display all of your communities. You can also see what networks your friends are on and see all of your activity in one place.
You can register using an existing online account like Google, Faceobok, MySpace, OpenID, Twitter, Yahoo, Windows Live, LinkedIn, MyOpenID, WordPress, Flickr or Blogger. If you happen not to have any of these accounts then you can create an account directly on Yiid. Once you get your account, you can link other accounts to your profile so that you can login with any of those as well. Currently you can link your Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and Yahoo accounts.

When you start adding networks, Yiid starts to automatically find other sites that you are a member of (via username). Before adding these networks you may want to click on the link that it provides you with, in order to make sure it’s you and also to make sure the link is valid. One thing I noticed was that the add button (for adding profiles) seems to be in German. Once you’re logged in you’re able to add around 100 other social profiles.
Yiid will also help you find contacts (“people you may know”) from these communities that can then be added to your address book. You can add them right from this list and add tags relating to them.

From the dashboard you can update your status on Yiid as well as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace or Yahoo (if you’ve added them). There’s also a bookmarklet that you can use to easy share stuff on Yiid while browsing the Web. The stream on your dashboard will show activities from yourself and all your friends (that you’ve added directly on Yiid). You can view the main stream or action stream. It can also be filtered (as seen below). Items in the feed can be commented on, liked, disliked and shared on Twitter, Facebook, Google Buzz and StudiVZ.

Filling in all your profiles helps to create your activity feed that is displayed on your profile. Your profile has 6 different tabs: profile, friends, identities, contact data’s, report and CV. A CV can be important via your Xing or LinkedIn profile. Your address can be private, public or viewable to just friends as with your email address.
Don’t have any friends on the site? You can use the “Friendomat” to import contacts from Facebook, Google, MySpace, Windows Live or via vCard import. They’ll be added to your address book and from there you can add or invite them. Lastly, there is a bar at the bottom of the screen called the “status-bar” that alerts of new notifications and direct messages. It also lets you send the current link of the page you’re on to your phone.
With all that being said, I think we can conclude that Yiid is a feature rich profile aggregator with a lot to offer social media addicts such as myself.
