It’s becoming increasingly popular to display your tweets (or some kind of Twitter widget) on your blog. When it comes to this, there are quite a few to choose from. Most of these widgets are easy to use and customizable. Of course, which one you use is entirely up to you. Let’s take a look at the options out there and see what we can find.

- Customizable size and color.
- Lets you display your tweets or someone elses.

- You can display or hide parts of the tweets.
TheyFollowMe

- Automatically picks up the style of your blog but can also be customized with CSS.
Tweetag
- Displays a single tweet.
- Automatically translates the URL of any tweet into a badge.
- Customizable coloring using hexadecimal color codes.
- Kind of similar to TwitStamp.

TwiBadge

- Customizable colors without the need for coding knowledge.
- There are a few other WordPress Twitter widgets here, here, here and here.

TwitGif
- The instructions are in Japanese.
- You only need to enter your username to get the actual widget.
- Not customizable, displays your avatar picture and scrolls through your tweets.
Official Twitter Widget
- Widgets that are available via Twitter.com
- You can get a widget for your website or Facebook; the Facebook widget is an application.
- There are 4 types of website widgets: profile, search, faves and list.
- Each website widget is customizable.
TwitterCounter
- Offers many other features besides a widget.
- Shows your face on thousands of blogs just by you signing in; lets the site owner know who has visited.
- Lets you send a tweet to and follow the widget owner.
- Customizable colors, widget and number of rows.
Now that you know what’s out there, which one do you prefer. If you’re already using a widget on your site or blog, which one are you using? Feel free to share in the comments.

Unfortunately, most Twitter and Facebook widgets or plugins are coded horribly, I found that when trying to validate my code, they were worst offenders, so I have removed them from my site…
I'm still looking the suitable one for one of my blogs. Thanks for sharing

I didnt know there were so many widgets for twitter. Thanks for sharing the info however, most of them are still not suitable or accepted on wordpress.com
I think you need to have a twitter account for your blog and for personal use, I don't think both mix well, no one wants to read about a night out or see you flirting
