		<description>When I saw this in my inbox I knew I not only had to read it (I read all your stuff, Patti), I figured I might have something to add.  But you&#039;ve done such a great job here that, well, I&#039;m speechless.  Okay, not completely.  :-)  Folks who don&#039;t write fiction are sometimes surprised to hear, and even more surprised to learn when they give it a go, how disciplined and structured it is (both in terms of process and on the page), when it&#039;s done well.  It is the belie that fiction is more like finger-painting, you can just write whatever you want and in in order, that is behind the statistic that only one out of 1000 submitted novels lands a legit (not POD) publishing contract.  Not good odds.  And it&#039;s not because the other 999 can&#039;t write pretty sentences.  Thanks for the great post, Patti, and for the mention.  Larry </description>
