I would have loved this whole Internet thing when I was 18! I actually didn't get my first home computer until I was well into adulthood, which is a definite sign of my age.
What is really funny is when I am sitting in my living room with my laptop going, and I use AIM to IM my 20-year-old son upstairs to see what he's watching or what he wants for supper, because I'm too comfortable to get up and yell up the stairs. Or I'll get on Skype and call my 18-year-old on his computer to see what his plans are, because that's where he's talking with his friends.
But for kids that age, it's just another fact of life.

All forms of communication are valid, and enhance each other. But there is no doubt about it, young people are taking to new-new media like never before and leaving most people in the dust.

I wish I had twitter or YouTube when I was 18! We're going on our <a href="http://www.feastoffun.com/topics/2009/12/12/feast-of-fun-wins-peoples-choice-podcast-award-for-fourth-year/" rel="nofollow">sixth year of podcasting,</a> can you believe it?
