Blogging can feel like running up a hill sometimes where you can’t see the top, which can be very demotivating and discourage you from putting in the work you should. Though blogging is no different to anything in life: the more you put in, the more you get out.
It’s strangely sad to admit it but I’ve really been enjoying working over the last few weeks. This week I was busy getting everything ready for the release of BloggingTips first premium theme. A link to purchase the theme was emailed to newsletter subscribers 2 days ago but the theme will be officially released on Tuesday 1st December. Although this gave me more work than usual, it was satisfying to know that the final product was both finished and exactly what I wanted.
I’ve been busy with a few other things over the last few weeks as well. I quietly launched a new blog about old video games consoles and I have been speaking with several great writers about writing long, in depth articles on BloggingTips too.
Everything over the last few weeks has reinforced my belief that to succeed online you need to work with others, you need to partner with people who are better than you. It’s in your best interests to either hire or partner with people who are better at writing than you, better at designing and better at marketing. Sure, you can make money online by yourself but you will make much more money if you make some friends along the way. And it will make your life easier too.
Personally I have been working closely with Blog Design Studio, who worked their asses off to make the Personal Theme exactly the way I wanted. We are already working on another theme and are talking about partnering on some other projects too.
The more good working relationships you build online, the more doors that will open for you. And that’s what making money online is all about: opportunity.
I encourage you all to find like minded bloggers to work with. Swap your messenger details and shoot the breeze with them from time to time. Occasionally they will contact you when you’re really busy doing something else, which can be a pain, but it’s great to have someone at the other end to quickly ask for help of for an opinion or something. And you never know, you could always brainstorm a great idea for a project as well
Remember, you’re not in this alone. There are thousands of other bloggers who are trying to be successful just like you!

This is fantastic advice. You always learn more and much faster from the people that know more than you.
Your new site is using my Old School design that Justin coded
. That’s cool man.
Cool. I didn’t realise you did that design
That was a cool and I especially like the pic
You are right! We cannot be alone if we wish to success in blogging. I’m a new blogger. I have tried to make more friends and learn from them in blogging. Thanks for sharing!
Agree! Be a partner with someone better will encourage you to learn more and more.
Awesome advice Kevin!
The more good working relationships you build online, the more doors that will open for you.
I’m a firm believer in the Law of Attraction. Once you start focusing on creating better relationships and working with those who have more experience–the doors do truly open and you will attract more like-minded people.
It can feel intimidating at first, especially if you feel like you’re “out of your league,” but I’ve learned that just being yourself is key to building relationships and working partners. Bloggers ARE people too. Oh, that sounds like a great post doesn’t it?
Working with others and commenting also leads to great content ideas!
Thanks for sharing!
Yes it’s easy to forget sometimes that you are dealing with a human being at the other side. Most people are willing to help and looking to forge partnerships, you just need to get in touch.
I completely agree with you on this post, I’m teamed up with two different people on two different projects and I’m gonna continue doing so but what about the people who are better than me. Shouldn’t they be teaming up with people better than them and not me?
Just throwin that out their
I completely in agreement with you. the success of a blog is not just dependent on articles. Networking and partnership are great virtue in the fascinating world of blogs. Thanks for sound advice.
This is so true…if you be with people who know more than you you r bound to learn more and increase your knowledge base
Blogging world is huge and only when you partner with people and blogs who are better than you, will you learn!
Networking is as important as good content in blogging and who better to network with than people who know more than you
