There is one pet peeve though I have with feedburner email subscription. The confirming part is really an ongoing mission to accomplish. I have about 750 emails on my list, however only 500 of them did confirm/conclude their subscription with the balance 250 not completing the process.

It would be highly appreciated if feedburner could structure the subscription form in such a way that everything is completed within the same page once off.

Solid list of things to do. To go along with "Consistent Content", publishing content on a consistent basis (whether that's daily, weekly, monthly, etc…) is key to building a following.

I know I look for posts on my favorite blogs around the same time each day/week, as the authors stick to a schedule.

Some good points, I agree. I wish I could change my feed to "full" insted of "partial", but the way my theme works, it would mean adding two images (of the same) to my feeds – making them look weird. So I'm only offering partial without images.

If there's a way for Feedburner (or a WP plugin) to make sure no images are passed to the RSS feed, that would be great!
