Great Post!

I have just started blogging and It is tough. Just a few minutes ago I realised that I had spelt a person in my niche's name wrong at least three times! But after reading this post I am now going to apologise for this mistake and build trust.

Very useful read!

In general, writing regularly and consistently with honesty and diligence from a personal outlook has helped me so far. Your post made my understanding more profound.

Thank you!

Hi Jonathan,

Perfect timing! I have been blogging for a few months now and am slowly finding me feet. I completely agree with you about the trust factor and building relationships with your readers.

I am so sick of the Guru's promoting stuff that is unrealistic, not only that not being honest.

I applaud the FTC guidelines. Instead of running scared we should follow the rules and there is nothing wrong with telling people we are affiliates and earn commissions for the products we recommend.

The other plus to this disclosure situation as well as building trust with our readers is to only promote products that we actually believe in and actually have had some sort of experience from.

Thank you for the great read. See you back here soon!

Seems like disclosure should have been more important to our trade even before it was required. I agree with you - go the extra mile and offer more than required and we'll build that much more trust.

This was great! It's so appropriate that I found this blog as I thought of a similar thing a few hours ago.

I thought, "Like any relationship, that of a writer-reader takes time to develop. Writer's must earn reader's trust in order to gain respect."

I also believe that in order to gain trust, a writer/blogger should open themselves up as much as possible. I blogged about this yesterday: ("When I write, I get naked" http://tinyurl.com/yf75tn4)

Thanks for the tips. I enjoyed it :-)
