Your writing makes it, plain and simple. I think blog design is a little overrated. You need your blog to be easy to navigate, and not be completely hideous. That's really all that's required.

I try to follow each 5 of them and after almost 5 years of blogging, I've found my style and have a great deal of regular readers.

Agree to your advices, I might like to add that to stick to your theme is important and also quality to quantity. I never post for the sake of posting and rather wait until I have something significantly to say.
