Good post. Concise and to the point!

Because of the fresh content appearing on the site as a result of blogging, search engines get used to visit your site more frequently. This helps you in various regards, including more frequent site indexation and better search engine rankings.

I'm new to blogging, so bear with me. If it is true that adding a blog to your website is good and it may add backlinks. Is it also possible that the negative comments or X rated sites can make posts that ruin your website or get you banned? For example, suppose a blog about pipeline jobs gets too tedious. The site is abandoned. Someone asks for former owner to give up the blog and reassign it. Then the new blog owner begins posting X rated stuff. Can the conduct of this blog, effect the website to which it is attached? It seems that a bunch of comments related to that blog are now permanently to the unsuspecting website.

Adding a blog to your site is a great method to gain backlinks, visitors and also brand recognition. If you are running a e-commerce site a blog makes it more personal which is appreciated today.
