There are reasons for not wanting to start a blog to increase traffic to your website but none of them are good. People say they don’t have the time to write the fresh copy on a constant basis that will get them the rankings they need. Well, that’s what ghost writers are for.
Some say they only have limited ideas to write about. Again, that’s the job of the ghost writer. To supply both the words and ideas. See the path to better search engine rankings is clear. Remember that a blog that gets fresh content on a regular basis gets the once over from the Google spider bots often. In the end there are several excuses but no real reasons why the business owner doesn’t use a blog to their advantage.
Here are a few reasons why a blog that gets added to your website is a good idea.
Of course increased traffic is the number one reason. You need to be aware that blogs are great for increasing the traffic that you get to your website. The optimized blogs get the potential customer to the site, and once there those same blogs give that potential customer something to read.
With the right content experts working for you, you’ll be able to hold on to those visitors the blog brings in and make them converts. Remember too that as you add more content on a regular basis you’ll develop a regular clientele that comes by to see what your new posts are all about.
One of the other benefits to having a blog is the fact that you get linkbacks to your site. Ask any Internet advertiser and they’ll tell you that the Holy Grail of advertising on the web is the link. Often it’s one of the readers described above that provides the link back to your site. Remember too that it helps the rankings cause when you try and squeeze in two or three links back to internal pages on your website.
Finally using a blog increases your credibility among your niche market buyers. The people that read your blog will see you as an expert in the field and be more inclined to buy your services.
Blogs are, by all accounts, are here to stay. All business owners need to take a serious look at their applications.

I’m new to blogging, so bear with me. If it is true that adding a blog to your website is good and it may add backlinks. Is it also possible that the negative comments or X rated sites can make posts that ruin your website or get you banned? For example, suppose a blog about pipeline jobs gets too tedious. The site is abandoned. Someone asks for former owner to give up the blog and reassign it. Then the new blog owner begins posting X rated stuff. Can the conduct of this blog, effect the website to which it is attached? It seems that a bunch of comments related to that blog are now permanently to the unsuspecting website.
