As the title implies, Twi.tt is a way to share numerous types of media on Twitter — pictures, videos, documents, audio and polls. Sharing is easy with their simple upload forms. Plus, their log in uses Twitter OAuth so, there’s no need to give out your password. If you want to see what others are sharing, then you’ll appreciate the Twi.tt public timeline displayed on the bottom of the website.
Picture & Video Sharing
There are four options:
- Select the image or video from your computer and enter a short (118 characters or less) message.
- Enter an image or video URL and enter a short (118 characters or less) message.
- Capture an image or video from your web cam (feature not yet available but coming soon).
- Post by email (feature not yet available but coming soon).
Document Sharing
There are three options:
- Select the document from your computer and enter a short (118 characters or less) message.
- Enter a document URL and enter a short (118 characters or less) message.
- Post by email (feature not yet available but coming soon).
Audio Sharing
There are four options, all of which are not currently available but coming soon:
- Upload from your computer.
- Upload from URL.
- Record from your microphone.
- Post by email.
Poll Sharing
There are two options:
- Create a poll from scratch by enter a question and answer selections.
- Embed a quiz code from online (feature not yet available but coming soon).
Just so you get a general idea of what happens after you upload and share something, I uploaded a picture. A little status box pops up showing you that your picture has successfully been posted and then it gives you the URL of the image. You can then choose to view the picture or share another.

If you click this link you can see what an example page with your image will look like. The image is shown in large and there’s a place for comments underneath, pretty much like Twitpic. You can also see how many views, replies and retweets the image has.
Once all of its features become available, it looks like Twi.tt really will be the ultimate source for sharing “anything and everything” on Twitter. It gives me many options for sharing each type of media, as opposed to just one option. Plus fact that the site is very straightforward and easy to use is an added plus.
What do you think of Twi.tt? Will you use it over other Twitter media sharing tools?
