However, I think that by catering to the already strong WordPress community bbPress will pull through. Just like WP, it is nice and light for those who want it that way and there are plugins for those who need more. Though some prefer a lightweight forum solution, I do not think BBPress has such success rate as vBulletin or PHPBB. And yeah, no one is addressing the security aspect of this forum board solution. BBPress community is small in relative to PHPBB community, therefore, there are quite a low number of code testers for exploits.
