@ Color Printing – I didn't learn my lessons in school either, English and Grammar were boring and I saw no use for them.

As I've gotten older, I realize it is important to write well and make things as clear as possible to avoid confusion.

I have a problem with coordination, myself. I either misuse them, or use them too often.

Thanks for the info. I hope to read more of this kind of articles here. I find them very useful (because I didn't learn enough about grammar in school LOL).

@Bob – The use of "so" would be a correct use in the sentence. It's a word I over-use, so I didn't use it. LOL.

What about "Gail forgot the meeting so she didn't attend."? That looks OK to me, and seems like the easiest switch to make.
