Boost Your WordPress Security with a Yubikey

These devices are used to make it considerably more difficult to gain access to a computer account by using a two-factor authentication process and one-time passwords.

The plugin uses the Yubico Web service API to make your key work. The one-time password requirement can be enabled on a per user basis. That means you can use it to restrict admin access more effectively or you could require all the authors on your blog to have a key to get in. You need to get an API key and a Yubikey for this plugin to work.  But if you’re concerned about security, this may be worth the money it costs to get a Yubikey. It is a great way to increase security on your blog.

    Very interesting indeed!

Now I use a desktop tool called SoftFuse Password Generator – http://www.password-generator.com/ – to generate and keep securely my passwords… Maybe I should try Yubikey device instead…
