Plugin monetizing is very important and very crippled by official stance &quot;whatever touches WordPress is automatically GPL&quot;. I had seen way too many excellent plugins with dropped support and code rotting. And there will only be more in the future.

Plugin authors can add whole splash pages if that will help their development efforts. It&#039;s fully their right.</description>
