@nicky: Nothing you can read in books will teach you as much as the experience of actually doing it.

I failed so many times before I found success, and I know you want to be totally prepared for the first time you launch your pet project, but you need to actually get out and do it. Otherwise, you probably never will get around to it.

Spending lots of time reading books is better to implement practical things to get exact knowledge about the topic.

Guess now you know that I am out reading other blogs rather than writing on my own.

Sad thing, I really have the urge to follow the links of all the other commenters to their blogs & from there I would follow more links…It is never ending. I have been trying to do better.

Ironic that everyone reading this is…not blogging.

But your article is spot on, and it's something I've had trouble with.

I think it's important that even if you're commenting (which can be valuable) that you're getting you work done, or at least working towards your goal.

Very true!

I am not a blogger myself.. I just can't keep it updated frequently..

So I stick with running a forum.

But I think this also applies to my style of online communication as well.

If we spend our time learning to blog/administrate and never actually do it, what is the benefit?

I think these things are "get your hands wet and then research to find out what went wrong" sort of things. That is the best way to describe it.

When you make mistakes with blogs and forums, you need to learn from mistakes. It is very hard to learn before you ever experienced it.

I think too many people tend to procrastinate or lose their focus on things. Like you should only be taking 15 min to write an article instead of an hour. Sometimes we tend to spend too much time perfecting what we write or do for our business. We should learn to spend less time but get the same quality result. It's all about time management I guess.

That is the best advice anyone can get… I repeatedly tell that line to my students almost everyday!

Work will never get done on it's own! You have to work in order to see results!

I've been keepin an eye on this blog, it's good
