The Outsourcing Conspiracy

Posted by on 21st Apr 2009 Blogging News 8 comments

Outsourcing ConspiracyPopular CopyBlogger writers Jon Morrow and Brian Clark have released a free pdf ebook entitled ‘The Outsourcing Conspiracy‘ (100% free, no need to give your email address out!).

This 31 page ebook explains over 18 chapters why outsourcing is not always the best option and why it does not always provide value for money. Although this ebook is short, it is very well written and contains a lot of great information. Anyone who is thinking of outsourcing some work should definitely take the time to read it.

I don’t want to give too much away in this post so have a read and let me know what you think of it in the comment area :)

There are many advantages to using a virtual assistant. I am documenting my experience on my site, and posted a few more relevant links, including a podcast from AJ Jacobs about outsourcing. For my personalized view, take a look at this post: http://www.arrowrootmedia.com/2009/04/17/outsourc…. In fact, even this comment has been outsourced and posted by my virtual assistant.

Excellent post Mr. Kevin! You are bashing "outsourcing" yet you don't know your first language…. "should definately take the time" – what an spelling! I don't mean to be rude… All the best!

If you take the time to read my post you will see that I wasn't bashing oursourcing. I don't know how anyone can claim otherwise, particularly when there are 12 other writers on BloggingTips and when the BloggingTips design was outsourced as well.

What the book is trying to get across is that 'outsourcing' isn't always the best option. It isn't saying you shouldn't do it.

Bottom line, there are pros and cons about outsourcing and this ebook talks about them. Did you read the ebook? Let me know which parts you disagree with. :)

My point is that talent is not restricted to a particular region. You can find lousy or quality workers everywhere. Let's take your design for example; what we can call an awesomely done and so 'effable wordpress website…… Again- all the best Kevin!

I don't agree with you Kevin. I have outsourced everything to my virtual assistant and I feel the freedom. I am also going to download the ebook "The Outsourcing Conspiracy" and I will give my feedback on this ebook once I am done.

I am thoroughly enjoyed reading your site and have bookmarked it. I am currently hosting my own blog as well, and would be delighted if you'd exchange links with me. My website is EconoChristian.com and I write and offer information regarding geo-politics and economics, but with a religious twist, which includes exposing lies in the media and the world.
