Get More Twitter Followers with FeaturedUsers.com
Developed by FloatingHeadStudios, the developers of the incredibly handy FriendOrFollow service,
FeaturedUsers is the latest service which promises to get you more Twitter followers.
For $10 you will have your Twitter account advertied 1,000 times (i.e. $10 for 1,000 impressions). These ads are displayed on FloatingHeadStudios network sites.Below is an example of the banner which is displayed.
In total there are 16 sites that your profile will be advertised on. Namely Tweetalink.com, TheTwitterTagProject.com, insults.doesfollow.com, TweetAbout.com, FriendOrFollow.com, TweetFan.com, TwitterSticker.com, DoesFollow.com, WhoShouldIFollow.com, Wthashtag.com, TweepDiff.com, FollowCost.com, TWTBase.com, TwitDom.com, SecretTweet.com and TweetTop.com.
In the FeaturedUsers users page you can see the top performing users. The top 10 users are getting a Click Through Rate of between 1% and 2% so I assume the average user can assume a click through around 1% as well. This means that you should get around 10 clicks for your $10.
I decided to take the plunge and try the service out and ordered 5,000 impressions for $50. Once my banner has been displayed a little more I ill be able to see a Follower History vs. Banner Impressions vs Clicks graph.
If you are looking to promote yourself more and increase your Twitter account it may be worth looking into FeaturedUsers. Though at this time, I’m not sure whether $10 for 1,000 impressions offers value for money so I’ll let you know my thoughts on the service once my 5,000 impressions have run out

Thanks… I’m trying it out now just for fun, although I’m betting the results won’t be worth the cost. I’ll post here exactly how many new followers I get for 10 bucks!

Yeah I’ll let you know guys. The thing is, I have been more proactive on Twitter so it’s difficult to tell if new followers came from FeaturedUsers or not. But still, as Alex says, it’s worth trying out
So far it takes a while to use up the impressions. About 200 in the past day and so far I’ve got one follower from it lol
Yeah it’s going down slowly, which is a good thing. I would have been a bit pissed off if it was displayed within a few hours.

I have now used up all 1,000 impressions. I got 7 clicks, and 4 new followers from those clicks. Basically I paid $2.50 for each new follower. None of the 4 new followers had anything in common with me, so it was quite a waste of time. It would be far more effective (and free) to simply search twitter for people who share your interests and follow/message them
