Mr. I,

Glad twitter works in a positive way for you.

Jamie Harrop,

You said it right. Asking questions helps a lot in building relationships. And yes, you #followfriday example proves it. I agree we have to tell to our followers what the users who have replied have told. We can also retweet their replies. Thanks for adding value to the blog post.

Hey Ramkarthik,

Your point about asking questions is an excellent one. Over the past seven days, I've been asking lots of questions on Twitter, and getting some fantastic answers.

And while the answers have been very helpful when I write my blog posts, the questions have been even more valuable in building relationships on Twitter. Yesterday, I probably saw about 30 people Tweet #followfriday messages. As a guess, I think I was included in about 15 of those Tweets. That's far more than any other week, so it's obvious that the conversations that those questions spark is resonating with my followers and making me a good person to follow.

One thing I would highly recommend doing when asking questions, is sharing the answers on Twitter. Even if you're going to be sharing the answers in a blog post, I'd recommend sending a few update Tweets to tell everybody what kind of answers people are giving.

Excellent post, Ramkarthik.

Thanks!

Excellent tips.
I have been using Twitter seriously for 2days only and first step is proving most useful. Previously, I only tweeted "New post on Blog" type tweets but ever since I started conversations, I get new ideas everyday.
